After a dismal performance in February, the domestic phonogram market bounces back with positive figures.
The latest sales figures from the Association of Norwegian Record Distributors offer more positive news than the 35% setback experienced in February. Total sales including physical units as well as downloads rose with 37% in March, compared to 2008 figures.
Sales of physical units grew with 39%, while downloads rose with 28% in March ’09.
Total accumulated sales in 2009 amount to 1,5m physical units representing a NOK 93m value. 2,2m download sales as well as 30 million streams have been generated, resulting in a NOK 20m turnover.
