Renowned Norwegian conductor Terje Mikkelsen returns to the UK in March.
Following a successful tour with the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra of Moscow Radio in October, conductor Terje Mikkelsen returns to the UK, this time with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra. For his March UK tour Mikkelsen is set to focus on works by Mozart, Rachmaninov, Dvorak and Grieg.
Terje Mikkelsen was born in Norway in 1957. After studying at the Norwegian State Music Academy and the Sibelius Academy in Finland, he went on to conduct the Ukrainian State Orchestra, the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra and the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, with whom he recorded more than 20 CDs and toured around the world. He has also conducted other renowned orchestras such as the Warsaw Philharmonic, Hamburg Radio Orchestra and the Opera Bastille Orchestra.
