Sahg on tour with Trouble

Norwegian doom metal band Sahg join the doom legends Trouble on the European leg of their Simple Mind Condition tour 2008. Starting on April 8th the tour immediately follows the release of Sahg’s anticipated second outing Sahg II.

Sahg

Formed in 2004 Sahg quickly became a band that drew the attention of the metal milieu, both in Norway and eventually internationally. Made up of some key figures from the Norwegian metal scene, hailing from bands like Gorgoroth, Manngard and Audrey Horne, Sahg already from the inception had the momentum and renown that would only increase as their doom metal began to reach the ears of audiences.

The band’s first album Sahg I was released in 2006. It reaped rave reviews from across the line of metal magazines and their name was firmly placed on the international scene. An American tour with the legends Celtic Frost earned them a new big fan-base in America.

Sahg’s music is doom metal, which implies thunderous beats, wrought-iron riffs, highlighted, as they put it, “with epic soaring melodies that will leave a die-hard Ozzy fan breathless.”

Details on the forthcoming album are few, but it will be released in early April by Swedish label Regain Records.

Before Embarking ion the important tour of Europe Sahg will play some highlighted gigs in Norway, notably at by:Larm, currently taking place in Oslo, and later in the same city at the annual Inferno festival during Easter.
