Norwegian pop icon Lene Marlin teams up with successful US based production team Stargate for upcoming Rihanna album tracks.
June 4th sees the release of major US R&B artist Rihanna new album ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’. The album’s songwriters include celebrities such as Timbaland and Justin Timberlake but also Norway’s Lene Marlin who contributes with the album’s title track.
Hugely successful NYC-based Norwegian production duo Stargate has produced four of the album’s tracks.
Says Marlin to Dagbladet.no: - I’m honoured that Rihanna has recorded a song that I’ve co-written. She’s a fantastic vocalist, and it’s always fun to be working with Stargate.
Lene Marlin experienced considerable success on the European stage in the late 90s with her ‘Playing My Game’ album and huge hit ‘Unforgivable Sinner’ with sales in excess of 2,2 million albums. Marlin’s most current album is ‘Lost in a Moment’ released on Virgin in 2005.
Stargate are currently producing artists Chris Brown, Trey Songz and Johnta Austin.
