Maria Solheim’s second album “Behind Closed Doors” builds on the solid platform created by her acclaimed debut “Barefoot”. The barely twentysomething who hails from a tiny village in the north of Norway, writes tunes that fit well with the strong tradition of female, guitar-toting songwriters with solid integrity. The vital and outspoken artist started her creative career as a writer before her musical talent was discovered at the tender age of 16. Word of mouth quickly led to a recording contract, and Maria Solheim is now enjoying a position as a highly central singer-songwriter on a vibrant scene with two strong albums, healthy sales, a loyal following and extensive domestic and international touring to her credit. Given her mature recorded output, things are looking bright for Maria Solheim’s future.
