Øyvind Lunde - Biography

Øyvind Lunde (born in Oslo April 16 1977) is has worked as a distict musician in the municipality of Rana in Notherth Norway since 2001. He has studied classical guitar at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, with Erik Stenstadvold and Sven Lundestad as his main teachers. He graduated in chamber music and guitar in the Autumn of 2003. In addition to the concerts and tours belonging to his occupation Lunde has given recitals in Russia, and in 2003 he was one of the soloists a the international guitar festval in Lithuania.

Lunde mainly composes chmaber music with guitar in various instrumentations. His music has been performed in Norway, Lithuania and at the Faeroe Islands. In January 2006 Lunde was awarded first prize for his work Two Pieces for Cello, Viola and Guitar in a competition at the 8th International Winter Guitar Festival” in Volos, Greece. From the same conservatorio Lunde also was awarded a second price in chamber music at the”4th composition competition” in the summer of 2006.
