After months of planning, Jaga Jazzist finally united with the Britten Sinfonia in mid-June 2012 to play one of the year’s most anticipated gigs as part of the Conexions concert series. The Barbican concert was no ordinary Jaga concert but rather a joint venture with the UK’s Britten Sinfonia, an orchestra with an international reputation for ground-breaking programming, brilliant performances and with a huge commitment to contemporary music.
Following the applauded June Conexions event, September 15th sees a return match at Oslo’s Rockefeller when Jaga and Britten Sinfonia mark the grand finale of the 2012 Oslo Ultima Contemporary Music Festival.
Jaga and Britten Sinfonia will be playing new arrangements of music well known to Jaga fans as well as music by founding member Lars Horntveth.
