Inferno Festival April 17-19

Few Norwegian festivals can equal the international status that Inferno now holds. With a solid focus on the best bands on the Norwegian metal scene, the Inferno Festival in Oslo has built up a strong reputation as one of Scandinavia’s most important outlets for extreme music.

Inferno Festival 2003

In its third consecutive year, the Inferno Festival continues to grow and is now the Norwegian metal community’s most important gathering. This year’s headliners include some of the metal scene’s most vital acts: Immortal, The Kovenant, Entombed, Red Harvest and Necrophagia. The preceding festivals caused such massive response from bands and audience alike that the Inferno committee has chosen to expand this year’s event into a three-day extravaganza of extreme music.

No other Norwegian festival can equal the international media attention subjected to the Inferno Festival. 2002’s Inferno drew 50 foreign journalists representing niche publications such as Metal Hammer and Terrorizer but also larger TV networks and radio chose to focus on the festival which is held at the Rockefeller Concert Hall in Oslo. Inferno Festival 2003 runs from April 17 to 19.

Although the audience is naturally primary Norwegian, the festival’s reputation has drawn an international attendance from USA, UK, Argentina, Brazil, Hungary, Italy, Canada as well as the Scandinavian countries.

Ticket sales for this year’s event has been formidable, and several of the festival days are nearly sold out. Book your tickets now if you want to experience the best of extreme Norwegian music.
